Rpg hack'n'slash [Working title Legendum]

Legendum

So, this is my first attempt to create a rpg game 3D. This is a dungeon-crawler, hack and slash game like diablo II.
Now i dont use any 3d models, only a chest :smile:.Currently i focused on system of item generation and mob generation to make some unique and atractive system i combined many things what i know.

What I finished(or not at all"only the basic")
1.Item generation - i finished normal , magic , rare and epic item generation, legendary and mythic would be unique items what wouldnt be generated by game (also i need to make socket system that will include runes , gems, runewords)
2Mob Generation - there are 6 rarities of mobs, each will have diferrent random bonuses
3.Dungeon Generation - i made a basic dungeon generation with rooms
4.Save/Load System- its practicaly finished . it saves equipment and inventory items, when i will finish all character attributes i will make and characteristics save and load
5.Craft - basic system is working (just put 2 items in craft window and push the button , you will get a random normal item) , but i need to make list of recipients
6.Other Details - i made chests, damage label, click to move and other.

What I want to make in the future:
1.Soul system - you will absorb some slain monsters souls that will give you some power :wink:
2.Random Quests
3.Runewords - like Diablo 2 you will be able to socket items with runes, there will be some combinations that will make item more powerfull
4.Items Upgrade
5.Mythic and Legendary items
6.Complex Dungeon Generator
7.About 20 professions and 8 uber professions - at start you will be able to choose 3 professions from 20 , and at level 60 you will be able to choose 1 of 8 uber professions that give you about 7000 of combinations (owww yeeee!!!).

1.to use Fire Ball press right mouse click
2.to increase it damage , put attribute points in Intellect
3.Burn That CUBIES!!! :smile:

3/24/2013 : New UpDate : I work so hard today but with good disposition
1.Added HUD : hp, mp and exp Bars
2.Skill system, now you can cast spell by pressing number buttons or button itself
3.And Finnaly Added Lighting Ball!!!

I’m not much help on the art side, but I just wanted to say you have a well functioning start to an ARPG there. The item system seems a bit more polished than Dextero’s RPG Framework.

This is a nice start. I know how complicated an inventory and loot system can get as I’ve just wrote one as well. It seems we are working on similar games, at least both on ARPG’s. What is your target platform?

PC. Yes the inventory system is very complicated but now is easy for me to make new items.I think what in RPG items are the most principal part , so i focused on this.

Now we have a pretty menu :))

Great concept, not many people on the forum build action games.
I’m also working on an rpg hack 'n slash. But I’m aiming for the Dark Souls gameplay.
A whole lot harder to program combat but I’m pretty far for a non-programmer.

Maybe we could exchange some stuff?

Now i have the first skill working. RPG classic and lovely skill ā€œFire Ballā€ :smile:
To use the skill press the right mouse button, to increase it damage you need to increase intellect :smile:

Wow nice new update! I’ve been trying to figure out the exact same style of inventory and equipment system. Is it all buttons based?
