Running Unity with Project Files on External Drive - Build Error

Hi,

I have Unity 3d 5 installed on my macbook and I have connected a external SSD to the macbook via a USB 3.0 connection. I put my project files and folders onto the external SSD and opened it within Unity and everything runs fine. However, when I go to create a build back onto my macbook, I get a build error.

Is it possible to have Unity 3D v5 create a build of a project if the application is installed on the macbook’s primary hard drive but the project files are on a separate hard drive / external drive? My macbook has very little memory left so it would be great if I could keep my project files on an external SSD and still make builds for them as needed.
