Same skinned mesh behaves differently in different projects

Hi there.

May be someone has an idea…

The same skinned mesh, the same animation.

Renders in a broken way in our legacy project (upgraded to 2017.1 to from 4.x)

Renders perfectly ok in a newly created empty project.

Not sure even where to start… the legacy project have a lot of settings changed - can’t even remember half of the changes :slight_smile:


Oh, found it myself.

Turns out it’s the quality setting named “Blend weights”.

For default project it is “4 bones”.
For our project it was set to “2 bones”.
