Sanga - 1 Qoob, 2 Players, 3D, 4 Puzzle Lovers!

Hi everyone!

My name is Chi, and I am a math instructor. I developed a game for my students to teach them about 3D. The free game is called Sanga, and I would like to put on the iOS.

This will be a free 2 player game where the first person to create 3 in a row has “Sanga”.

Now upon first glance, it looks like 3D Tic Tac Toe. However, there are a many aspects that makes this game very different, and a lot of fun. Here are a few:

  1. The 3D board, known as the Qoob (pronounced “cube”), can be turned on all 3 axes! (That alone makes this game different than most 3D puzzle games, since most has 3D shapes played on a 2D board.)

  2. There are 9 pieces to choose from, and any player can play any piece.

  3. Each piece will have 2 characteristics to match from: color or shape. So if someone creates three in a row of the same color, they have Sanga. If someone creates three in a row of the same shape, they also have Sanga.

This is a simple game to learn, but the challenge is just beginning!

Kids love this educational game, and adults enjoy the strategies!

Sounds interesting? Be a part of Kickstarter campaign here:

I believe that when Sanga is available to the masses, it will change how puzzle games will be created in the future. If you’re a fan of puzzle game, this is a must back!

Thank you for any support/feedback!

Hi everyone,

Ever since I created the game, I have felt Unity was going to be the way to go. I wanted to create a game that was visually stunning and still challenging! After a few weeks of kickstarter, the dev team has put a little something together to show off how amazing the game will look. Now, there’s still a lot of work to be done, but take a quick peak and be a part of this awesome game!

I’m looking for any feedback. Anyone?

It sounds pretty cool but I’m not brave enough to click the link.

A couple of tips - Don’t use link shorteners as they’re generally associated with shady behaviour. I’d recommend posting the full link instead. Also, if you can, post some screenshots or videos, anything so we can get a more defined concept of what it exactly this project entails and why we should be interested. Your link sounds like it does those things but as I said, link shorteners :frowning: Of course those tips are 100% not required, but if you want to maximize interest and consequently feedback, those are some pretty good points IMO

Thanx paparakas!

Fair point, I chose to use bitlinks b/c I wanted to keep track where the clicks were coming from. However, I understand your points and have changed back to the original links.

And here is a small video of the demo

Here is a picture of the original prototype I played with students

Have you ever played a puzzle game and thought “Wow, I wish there was a puzzle game that was more challenging” Then this project is for you!
Have you ever played a puzzle game and thought “Bright colors and cute pieces? That’s it? I want some solid graphics!” Then this project is for you!
Have you ever played a puzzle game and thought “I want a game based on skill, not luck!” Then this project is for you!
Have you ever wanted to be a part of a Kickstarter with grassroots origins, but big ambitions? Then this project is for you!
Have you ever wanted to have your name in a game? Then this project is for you!

As I promote my project in different forums, I have come to a simple realization:

I am just one of many that’s promoting their own projects.

And unless I happen to be a video game company (which I’m not) that’s making an awesome game you happen to be looking for, most of you probably won’t care about what I am doing.

Therefore, I’m going to do something different: I am going to tell you about myself, and what I believe in. If that doesn’t interest you, you may want to stop.

I believe that puzzles strengthen our problem solving skills. I have been a math instructor for over 15 years. I love math, and I love using puzzles to teach my students. I love encouraging my students, and enjoy watching them solve problems/puzzles.

I believe I am a good teacher, and I set a good example for my students. Therefore, I have decided that this campaign is also a good lesson for my students. If I do poor work on the design, or if I don’t give my 100% in promoting it, then I am a hypocrite when I ask the same quality from my students.

I believe this project will be a success. I don’t mean “hey you did your best” type of success. I mean it WILL meet the goal, and it will become a household name for puzzle games.

I believe the backers on this project will be proud to be a part of the journey. I have learned so much along the way, and one of the things I’ve learned is that there are many people who wish to see me succeed. It makes me feel blessed, and as a result, I’m even more committed to make everyone proud to be a part of Sanga.

I believe this game has the potential to change the way future puzzle games are built. Many puzzle games nowadays are built around bright colors, cute shapes, and luck. However, I wish to fully utilize technology and provide visually stunning graphics for players, as well as have an actually challenging puzzle game.

I believe in the power of crowdfunding. Knowing that the Statue of Liberty was crowdfunded gives me hope to be able to find others who are like-minded.

I believe if you read this far, you are one of the like-minded individuals I am looking for. There still may be factors that keep you from pledging, I understand. If you have any questions, please feel free to PM them, or ask on the Kickstarter site. If you still choose not to back the project, I thank you for your time.

I’ve seen lot of 3d tictacs, but using colors and shapes is nice idea. Good luck for your campaign!

thanks chelnok!
