Hello Unity community!
I’m a 54-year-old retired software developer, and I’ve finally had the chance to pursue my indie game development journey. My passion for game development actually began in the 1980s, when I used to spend time in Atari arcades, playing Pacman and River Raid. I often wondered, “Could I make games like these?” That curiosity led me to become a programmer. However, life took me down the path of the corporate world, and I never got to explore my true passion—game development. Now that I’m retired, I’m taking the opportunity to fulfill this long-held dream.
Save The Village is a medieval-themed tower defense game that I’ve developed entirely using Unity. Players must defend their villages from skeletons and goblins by building strategic defense towers. As you progress through the game, you’ll face new challenges and enemies in different levels. For example, in Greendale Village, you’ll encounter the boss Bonecaster and have to defend against his powerful magic!
I’ve worked to create a stylized and natural environment for the game, with each village having its own unique atmosphere.
The game will be available on Steam and is set to launch for PC. You can check out the Steam page here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3229540
This development process has been an exciting adventure, and I’m here to share my progress with you all. Below are some screenshots from the game, and I’d love to hear your feedback!
Thanks, and happy gaming!
