I’m trying to import a 3ds file that I exported from Bryce 5. If the object was 512x1000x1280 units big in Bryce shouldn’t it be 512x1000x1280 meters in Unity (assuming the import Mesh Scale Factor is set to 1)? I’m pretty sure that its not importing at the proper size though. Any ideas why?
Also can I check the dimensions of my prefab from within Unity so that I know if it’s the right size or not?
As a quick test, throw a cube mesh into the world and scale it to what you think your other mesh should be. If the other mesh is correct, the new box should form a perfect bounding box.
Okay I tried your test and it confirms my suspicion. I have to scale the mesh by about 10 in each dimmension before it’s the right size. At least now I can get the propper dimmensions… does anyone know if this is normal coming from bryce?
