Scale Affects GameObject's Y Axis Position?


I have 2 GameObjects that are exactly the same. The only difference is their scale - one has a scale of (1,1,1) the other has a scale of (2,2,2).

The larger GameObject appears higher on the Y axis than the smaller one. Why is this and can I fix this somehow?

Do you employ any strategies to overcome/compensate for this?


you need to center the pivot of the mesh, you could either use the toggle in the editor (top left) or you could child the mesh to an empty GameObject centered on the mesh and scale it
