Scale Keyframes Problem

I have been trying to set scale keyframes for an object using the set key button. It creates a key but the scale is not animated - i.e. no values appear to be recorded.

The only way I have gotten scale keys to work is by right-clicking on the timeline and choosing
addkeywithattribute>transform>Local Scale. This is very tedious.

Am I missing something?

No, I think you got it right. I asked this question a long time ago, and this was Joachim’s answer:

Regarding how to get scale or other properties into an animation.
You can context click on the timeline, then choose add attribute Transform → Local Scale. In the same way you add any other attribute.

I seem to remember that it was somewhat tedious, though I haven’t done it for a while.
