Scaling issues on Unity version

I am following a tutorial which asks me to create a cube and scale it at X= 5, Y=0.1, Z=5.

The cube was created and looked fine in university, however when I transferred this onto the free unity on my mac, the cube is so so small even off the chart and no where near in line with the main camera.

Why am I having scale issues?


Set the import scale factor for the mesh in Unity, by clicking on the mesh and setting the scale in the inspector as appropriate.

There are no differences between versions of unity for the purposes of scaling and scene graph editing.

Could you have been in a different scene, moving around before loading that scene? If you click the box in your hierarchy and press f while your mouse is over the scene view, does everything look right? The scene camera is persistent across projects / scenes, so that might be it.
