Scaling question

Yeah im new, been programming for 28 years mostly in C/Pascal/ASM and lately Blitz but I wanted to get into iPhone development so here I am

My question is a simple one, does anyone know how to scale an image using the iPhone SDK 3.0 its strange but I can find LOADS of info about undocumented functions and a small function that sometimes works other times it doesnt. I could fudge it with multiple UIImageViews but I wanted to know if there was a way to do it with a simple piece of code that would simply rescale a UIImageView so that I can just use it (with credit entry of course  ). Then I can move forward

Thanks in advance…

Hello!

How does your question is relationated with Unity iPhone?

basically its related to iphone

I was told you were a friendly bunch so I thought I would ask the question, cheeky I know but here I am

Sorry, I have no idea how to help you out :frowning:

But this can be easily done and I would be able to help you if you had an Unity iPhone question related :stuck_out_tongue:

hope you get help!

Thank you

We’re not friendly!

I recently toe-punted a small (yet adorably cute) animal!

We’re badass.

LOL if anyone has any code that does UIImage or UIImageView resizing it would be appreciated. The code I have doesnt work 100% it scales the image perfectly (UIImage) but when reassigned to a UIImageView it get ‘rescaled’ to the scale of the imageview and goes all blocky.

Just wondering if there is a way of scaling UIImageView’s or if there is another way of doing it maybe with rehashing them or something

perhaps if you ask that on the private apple dev boards or another board related to iPhone development through using XCode and objc at all you get more answers than here were the majority never touches any objective c

Welcome here should you join the unity iphone dev boat soon

hiiii all of you,
