Hello Everyone,
A colleague and I have encountered an individual via the Unity Job Forums, and although I personally was not hired to work for him, my colleague was, and he has failed to pay his dues. I wanted to make a public record of the incident, and I will invite Adam to illustrate further what happened. Although I do not know of an official area to post this, perhaps it would be a good idea to compile a database (so long as evidence is provided).
Adam, feel free to go in further.
I don’t know anything about this other than what you have posted but there is no evidence presented here (as far as I can see… not a lawyer). Going only by those screenshots, one is simply a discussion about art creation speed and the other seems to be this other person being threatened with a lawsuit.
Then your colleague should deal with it personally.
In addition, “evidence” here are some screenshots easily faked. Unity also has a policy of not being involved with disputes between users. Those are between the users only. There are many services such as escrow. A simple search would reveal how to protect yourselves from scammers.
No action will be taken this end as it is not Unity’s responsibility, and it is easy to avoid being scammed.
