Scene cut-off in portrait mode

Hi All,

Unity3d newbie here. I am building a simple scene in Free Aspect mode. In Unity3d remote app, it looks good in landscape and portrait orientations, but when I deploy the apk to Android:

  • The scene looks good in Landscape mode but scene gets cutoff in the Portrait orientation.

The default orientation I have chosen in player settings is auto-rotate.

Can anyone help me fix this? Any guidance will be helpful

Of course, horizontal view size is lower in portrait mode, since your screens width is lower. Thats why most games have an landscape fixed orientation. Theres nothing you can do, about this physical limitation.

Thanks 128bit, that helps - so just wondering how do games like Candy Crush etc allow rotation ? Do they recalculate the positions and transform all of the objects in scene to fit the new mode?
