Hello,
I think I’ve posted this in the wrong section, should it be in HDRP in graphics?
I’ve been researching this for a couple of hours and I can’t seem to find an answer.
I’ve finally got out of the prototyping phase with my characters and I’m now moving onto creating some levels (yay!). However this is new territory for me, I’ve played with low quantities of gameobjects such as lights in my testing phase, but now I’m moving onto creating an actual level I’m guessing there’s some faux pas’ I’m making with using lots of objects over a large area. The character is 2 units tall, the room is 300 x 300, if this is any help.
I’ve created a prototype race course, all cubes. Around that course I’ve added my power up prefabs which contain a sphere, a base model and a point light. Since adding these the editor FPS drops to virtually unusable. (However, run time it’s fine?)
I’ve tried baking my lights but they disappear and, well, I don’t really know what else to try. When I try to make some changes the light generating claims it’s going to take over an hour. I’m guessing I’m doing something wrong here as I have a substantial computer - i7-7700, GTX1080, 16gb Ram.
Could someone point me in the right direction please?
