The scene view does not show anything but grid. It use to work, but now doesn’t. I uninstalled and installed the latest release of Unity, and still have the issue.

Somehow the show nothing was ticked under layers when I updated the version of Unity. So that fixed it!

Hah! Been battling for the last coupla days, first thought Unity was broken so de-installed, re-installed on slow internet!!! Tied different versions, loading different projects etc. etc. Then, because Unreal won’t build, thought maybe something common, so started rebuilding ALL the MS Vstudio DX, C++ etc. etc.
Was thinking the gods of game were telling me to go with Unreal, then to cut altogether and go 2D with GameMaker or similar…

I faced a similar problem, but the above fix didn’t work for me. What did work was Window - Layouts - Reset All Layouts. Now my scene view is working as expected again. Thought someone might find this helpful.
