SceneView Selected shader is expected to have 7 passes UnityEditor.DockArea:OnGUI()

i just upgraded from version 5.4 to 5.5 and every time i select a game object i get a error that is called and repeated 999+ times in just a few seconds. when i deselect the object it will stop. the error message is
“SceneView Selected shader is expected to have 7 passes UnityEditor.DockArea:OnGUI()”. can someone please help me figure this out.

Me the same, I have just installed 5.5 version this morning and it happens. It’s nothing in the previous version.

Me the same, every time i select the camera i get this error

Has anyone reported the problem?

Ok, I found something.

In scene view window, on the Gizmos menu, try deselecting “Selection outline”. This worked for me

Thank you… it worked for me too!

Ok, this was due to the shader used to render the Selection Outline, I updated my graphics card and now I don’t get the error. I am running unity on an old windows pc with a 30 euros graphics card and I am experiencing a great improvement, so I recommend buying some if you don’t have one (you are using an integrated gpu)
