Scots pine tree package – released

hi there,

my latest package of trees has just been released on the asset store:
8 fully editable scots pine trees, which are ready to use in your project, but can be tweaked and reshaped using Unity’s tree creator.

In order to achieve a realistic looking bark – which is dark grey-brown on the lower trunk, and thin, flaky and orange on the upper trunk – the package ships with a customized bark shader providing a lively diffuse color mapping and highly detailed bump mapping.

Get them here:

Update: textures improved and one more tree added: young scots pine.

feedback welcome!

I like them, just preparing my own variation  (just one personal: branches suffer from lack of texture detail… maybe its only cause of web build… w8 we can compare  do you have PC screens with no texture reduction?)

Thanks Lars, this is just what I have been waiting for!

version 1.01 uploaded: improved textures plus one more tree: young scots pine.

version 1.01 is now available at the asset store!

nice to see my assets in a professional context:

Larsbertram, If you ever decide to update your Scots pine tree package could you consider adding this kind of pine tree model. Trunk of the tree is a little bit thinner and most of the branches are in the top part of the tree.

“Custom” shader seems to be non-functional. It just repeats dark and bright areas like a common tiled texture. If that was an idea, there’s much easier way to map pine trunk.
