Hi. Just a few images from our upcoming game Ben kranky: Chapter one. Our character design and models and some game testing shots…
A few more even…
I like the look, kind of reminds me of some places around where I live
Can’t wait to try it when it comes out (commercial I assume).
wow that looks great! it’s nice polished with a very well defined sense of style. i really love the characters - there’s a definite personality conveyed with each one.
any chance you could elaborate on what the gameplay is going to be like? from your editor shots with all those sound sources on small objects i’d guess its a king’s quest type 3d adventure game.
very well done ; )
Ben Kranky Game Overview
This game is the first chapter of the adventures of Ben the boy genius and Kranky the puppy. This dynamic duo sets out to uncover evil, solve dark mysteries and foil nasty villains… and they do it all with style. Ben is an eight year old brain stormer who doesn’t let his blindness or the fact that he is confined to a wheelchair hold him back as he can more than make up for it with super psychic powers and a brain like Einstein’s. Kranky is a fearless little mongrel who likes to get his paws dirty and get into the action. If Ben gets an idea, Kranky will make it happen…. As long as he can eat a lot of stuff along the way.
Ben figures out how to find each clue with powerful dream visions and communicates to Kranky through the ancient and magic Lithode Crystals that they wear around their necks. Kranky wastes no time getting busy finding the clues, searching for the bad guys and putting all the pieces of the puzzle together to bring them to justice. Did we mention that he likes to eat?
In this first title we learn how Ben and Kranky first meet and learned how to work together to uncover the evil workings of the greedy scientist Doctor Darkhart. In sequels, we will join Ben Kranky as they travel the world uncovering wickedness and… eating stuff.
This will be a 3-d adventure mystery puzzle for kids ages 7 and up.
Very nice!
Thumbs up, love adventure games, but not enough are being made these days!
Looking very cool and quite polished.
Thanks for sharing,

Love the characters, style, concept. I really like the team of the boy genius in a wheelchair and the dog. Two suggestions:
- The landscape is a little too “square”. The characters are all very stylish, I think that just a little tweaking of the environments and props to make them funkier (e.g. top-heavy, lop-sided, assymmetrical) would be great.
Note how not a single thing is “square” (everything that should be a right angle isn’t). LucasArts did similar things with Monkey Island etc.
- Typography on the cover art (but, hey, that’s probably not final). The text needs punch.[/img]
Wow-thats really funky! Youre on to a winner there!

This looks impressive. Can’t wait to try it!
(BTW: Scottish-looking guy = PWN)
This is the kind of polish I love to see in a independent title, looks slick. Best of luck with the product, I am looking forward to playing a demo
Take care.

The render with all the characters looks very impressive, as do the other screen shots. It looks like you are using sort of a mix of cartoony and photo based environments which is hard to get to look good.
But looks cool so far. I really like the character models.
wow. very nice! looks very far along too - congrats!
Yes. That is simply a little mockup. Nothing even close to final… but I agree that font is far from effective.
As far as the non-square style… I think you’ll see a lot of that already in the design. There are a few elements in thyese screen shots which are square but over all we, bulge and flop…
Thanks for the feedback people!
Wow, that’s really professional-looking!

Looks great! Woot!
i was wondering, the crystals, what are they for? some kind of communication device?
