Screen Space Decals only working when Frame Debugger is active

I’m having a real strange issue with Screen Space decals.

I’ve one project where they work fine, but in my current project they don’t work.
BUT when I enable they frame debugger they become visible.


Does anyone has an idea what could be the cause of this strange behavior? To me it doesnt’ make any sense that the decals only show up when the frame debigger is active.
