Screenshot - New Tech Demo (Warning:Suggestive Content)

Hey All;

While some bugs are being squashed in our up coming game Stock Boy Stanley In: Warehouse Trouble. (Shameless plug, yup it is haha ) - http://gearworxprod.com

I decided I wanted to work on a new tech demo of sorts, since I just love playing around with Unity

The tech demo will consist of a small level in where the player can walk around and interact with. I am trying to create an eerie atmosphere. When I am working on games I do all of the art, sound e.t.c however this time I am trying to extend my knowledge of Unity and experiment more with the core engine and it’s features.

Anyway here is a screenshot of the main guy in the demo:

UPDATED IMAGES 01/28/2009

I will post more images as I progress.

Take care.

Nice textures, but that beard really makes me queasy. It looks like his chin is growing into his beard. The inside of of the hands and the rest of the face look quite good, though.

do you use 3d max cause you could use the hair feature to fix that. but that adds on about 1000 poly’s easily.

Neat,

How many polys?

Is that you with out the glasses and a beard / goatee?

Hahahaha That made my day, I do agree with you about that though. The player model is quite old (2002). And I am as we speak fixing that.

Nope I am a Maya user

2600 Poly

And no that’s not me hahaha.

I will be posting a new screenshot once I fix the chin beard lol. Thanks all for your comments.

Its obviously a model of himself  No one else sees the resemblance.

That is not me… trust me on that. It is one of my friends I referenced from.

Regards.

yeah if it was steve there’d be a beer in his hand… d’oh!

Pete DAMN rights I would be holding a beer if that was me hahahaha.

Anywho I updated the pictures and removed that nasty chin beard thingy he had going on hahaha. Like I said it is an old model I did back in 2002, I think he looks much better without it.

Regards.

Yeah, looks great!

get that monkey off your back jack!

looks good steve…

hehe, good stuff man

Thanks for the comments guys

Here is the final image I am posting of him… but I thought I would show him complete, rigged and posed

Take care.

The pants and Jacket need more details - add some variations to it otherwise you would waste that good texture space.
That’s the first thing I learned when I produced my first commercial character model.

Add wrinkles, slight color variations and a litle more depth. You’ll be amazed how much difference it can make only by the texture.

Loks good otherwise. 8)
