About a few weeks ago, all of a sudden, my scripts stopped compiling while I was in play mode and it would only compile after changes were made after I exited play mode.
Now, restarting Unity didn’t help and it only happens with a specific project where the only asset I have installed is Save is Easy. Which I think the problem started around the time I installed the addon. When I first installed the addon, I was on Unity version 2021.3.25f1. I then updated to version 2022.3.6f1 to see if it fixes the problem. Which it does not. I did import Save is Easy on other projects (Which does successfully recompiles scripts during playing) and it still works. Although I highly think it is Save is Easy since that is the high major change that has code I didn’t write so it is highly possible. Even though still work when imported it other projects, it may also break in the future as well. I did mention the issue did occur around the time I imported the Save is Easy package. To be specific, it was after I imported it.
I then checked the Script Changes While Playing setting and it is set correctly at “Recompile And Continue Playing”.
I even tried restarting my PC and still no.
I also know it isn’t resource related as I have plenty of resources on my PC.
There are no errors in the compiler output.
I also looked on the internet for answers and none. All of it mainly asked how to disable it. Which I figure looking at it could help. Which is how I came across the Script Changes While Playing setting. I even asked ChatGPT for answers and tried all what it recommended, and nope. I even asked someone with higher experience at Unity and still nothing.
Now this is getting really irritating now as I need it for my workflow as it’s just annoying having to restart every time, which wastes time. So, I really need help with this. Been dealing with this for a while and it is getting annoying.
