Hello, I am trying to make a weapons system for my game and in the process I have this error that I do not know how to solve, can someone help me?

NullRef errors basically mean you’re trying to access something that’s not there. Easiest way to solve it is to look at what you’re accessing, and figure out why it’s not there.
Looking at your code, I would water you perhaps forgot to set your public TextMeshProUGUI text; field in the inspector.

You need to figure out HOW that variable is supposed to get its initial value. There are many ways in Unity. In order of likelihood, it might be ONE of the following:
drag it in using the inspector
code inside this script initializes it
some OTHER external code initializes it
? something else?
This is the kind of mindset and thinking process you need to bring to this problem:
