Script for go to menu

Hi, i tryed to make a script

 where i can get to the menu by pressing escape:

function update()
{
    if (Input.GetKeyDown(KeyCode.Escape)){
        Application.LoadLevel(5);
    }
}

I dont know why but i doesnt work.

Please use code tags and update should be spelt with a capitol U so function Update()
