Hello, I need some severe help with scripting. In my opinion, I am an excellent modeler and learning animation as well as texturing. I am learning Unity 4 and know the interface okay, not as good as Blender. I have been watching videos about Unity 4 and taking notes about shortcuts and etc. So basically I’ve learned much of the stuff I know. I know how to animate, model, texture, the interface of unity… but no scripting. I want to learn Javascript or Unityscript. I have just discovered the reference thing where you can search something and it will give you all kinds of code. I am confused on how coding is done. When I think about amazing games like GTA 4 and Battlefield 3, I am amazed on how they coded all it! I need a swell tutorial on how to do it, but it’s gotta be good! I want to start the tutorial as a total noob with no expirience and come out a average scripter. I would like to be able to write code that I can use in my games. I want to learn as much as possible because as all of you know, the only limit in video game making is your knowledge. The game I’m making if your wondering is a multiplayer only game. No campaign. Basically I would like the players to be able to make their own servers and play. I want to have a market in the game to where people can purchase guns and knives and pistols and new characters and things like that. I also want them to be able to have titles, as in lets say you play my game for 5 years, and you are the highest level( I want ranks too) and you have unlocked the title " Commander In Chief" and that would be on top of your name ingame. I want it to be a 1st person shooter. But one team are the survivors and the other are vampires. I would like 2 people to become the boss vampires and they have to go around getting the survivors. When they get them, they become the baby vampires. And so on. Basic overview: Market, points(for buying things, which you’ll get out by killing vampires), I want a weapon where you can kill a vampire instantly and he doesnt respawn(stake), and levels and ranks and a lobby so players can make their own game, and so on. It will be a free2play and there isnt a currency that you can buy. Its all gonna be rank wise. The higher rank, the different and better things you can buy. That is what I want. I am a single person, just want to make a fun game, BTW this is all based off of a korean game called Sudden Attack, and that is basically a mini game in it, but I want to make it a full game, with my own taste. That right there has a lot links that can help you out. Here’s a really good scripting tutorial for starters:
When you were learning to make art, did you start with realistic characters that were poseable and had animations, LOD, and all the goodies?
No.
You started with simple boxes and static art, probably stylized. You learned all the necessary stuff as you went.
Programming is the same way. You’ll need to start with easy stuff and work your way up. Put your dream game on the backburner. Make Pong, Tetris, Pac-Man, etc. Then once you’ve got a handle on that, you can start on your dream game.
Start looking for tutorials on the web. There are tons of them, so I’m sure you can find them with Google. There’s even some on Unity’s very own site.
Didn’t read, it’s a text wall. Please think logically and make line breaks - called paragraphs. This is probably why you’re also having a hard time scripting as well.

If i post something like this then no one will read it because it is hard to read and i just keep typing things why are you reading this am i crazy or are you for reading this why is blue yellow and red blue why are you stil reading this what is pie or pei whatever i dont really care but still you are reading this and it is starting to hurt your eyes that is good because i wanted that too happen im awesome right why am i typing this in 1 tone and not using other tones do you read this as 1 tone too if so high five.
