Searching for specific asset

Hello i’m searching for a function (have seen it also in Assassin’s Creed engine) that help’s with building village environments. In the video they put a line on the ground and the engine built houses on that line, (instantiated prefabs probably). Is there a way to achieve this in unity? Maybe with an asset?

I have seen not one asses that works nearly in that way.
I have seen the video you are referencing, and it is a tool build by a Ubisoft studio for internal use only.
It was specificity designed for there needs and modeling workflow.
It may be possible to build such a tool inside of unity but its a tremendous amount of work to develop it (At least a year or probably longer).
If you are interested in external tools that may be in a similar direction you can take a look at cityengine .

If you are ok witch much smaller functionality (like just placing pre build Houses anlong a road) you are may be able to build such a tool for your self in a relatively short time.
