In blender you can toggle visibility of bones gizmos and click them to select. It’s very usefull for posing and animating, since you don’t have to search for needed bone in hierarchy. On other hand unity does’t have such feature as I know, but maybe there is a setting or addon somwhere for such thing, or maybe I am just naming it wrong? I would be gratefull if someone can give me an advice on this topic!
Unity does have the animation rigging package that helps with this. It does create end effectors that you can interact with but I can’t remember if the bones / effectors can be selected in the viewport.
