I have recently finished developing my new site http://www.teengamers.co.uk. Just to quickly fill you in the site is about game development for the younger generation. As I have finished I am starting a new program where you can pay to have your games listed on the site.
So this is how it works you can send an email to me here at tliesnham@gmail.com with a copy of the game pictures and a description that you want displayed on site. A trailer of your game can also be sent if you would like to pay a little extra. We will also need you PayPal email address for the money to be sent to.
Basically the basic cost is £2.60 to have it listed on our site, all payments must be made through PayPal for hassle less payments.
All payments will be verified through the business PayPal account and then forwarded onto you when delivery has been verified. So if you have a game you want to share to the world then send to us along with £2.60 to our PayPal account tliesnham@gmail.com. We hope to get intouch with you within 48 hours if not we guarantee you all 100% of your money back. Although we will try and reply to you within 48 hours it will also take awhile to compile a page along with the description, photos and videos of your game so please be patient.
Nevermind you don’t get it do you basically it is a game portal like Big Fish games where you can have your games listed for sale then you say get 90% of the profits but hay bang goes that idea.
I don’t get what you guys are moaning about the halo image I have permission from the publisher to use it.
Nobody is knocking the idea, really (though there has been a lot of sites like this appearing this past week). But a copyright image on the very first page does tend to damage the credibility somewhat.
Fine I suppose I should change that as soon as possible but the actual people who have made that wall paper have actually copied images from Halo to create that image.
Well they might have had permission, I don’t know and can’t say either way. But regardless, just because someone else does something wrong, doesn’t mean you should too.
Give the kid a break. He is 14 y/o and is trying to get something off the ground. Good on him. Never too young to kick that entrepreneurial bug into gear. More encouragement is needed.
Chub, before you get others games on your site, you need to flesh it out with more content. 1 paragraph per topic isn’t really enough to keep people interested and wanting to read or come back. There are already too many review sites on the net, so maybe focus on the development side. You say you have been using Unity for over a year… out together some tutorials or make a comprehensive tips and tricks section.
Maybe also put together a section on what its like to develop games as a young teenager. Give advice as to how to fir it in with your schoolwork and other commitments you have.
Anyway, good start on the site. I hope you continue with it and turn it into something special.
