On a regular basis, the Unity Hub tells me that no license is found on my computer. So, I have to re-enter my serial number in the hub every now and then.
Today, again, the Hub tells me that no license is found and I try to renter my serial number which I get from my seats page. Unfortunately, this time, the Unity Hub tells me that the serial number is not valid.
My company has 4 Unity Pro seats and one seat is assigned to my account. Only this seat has the problem.
Has anyone encountered this?
Iāve submitted a help request (request #728056) but Unity does not reply.
Why we are still having problems with this? Sorry to feel upset but I have to port this game to iOS and found that I canāt activate my Unity account and I have to wait donāt know how many day for Support to solve the problem.
Why I canāt remove the seats myself?
Itās 2020 we canāt still be having this sort of troubles when paying.
I think weāre all specifically interested in this āvarious other reasonsā part, can you elaborate on that? Because we all do everything correctly on our part and then you just give us a vague āYour serial number is not valid. Please contact supprotā¦ā message. The serial number IS VALID because Iāve just assigned the seat to myself and pasted the key youāve just generated.
Exactly this. Iāve just moved my workstation home as having to self isolate thanks to covid, and my license is no longer valid. Iāve just revoked and re-applied the seat, to no joy. WTF, this is the same machineā¦
So instead of revoking and reapplying seats you need to click on the actual serial number after a seat has been assigned, this will let you then remove any previous activations. Which apparently me taking my PC home has somehow been classified as another āactivationā, guess they use external IPs or somethingā¦
Just had a 5 minute OS update, restarted PC and now canāt use Unity for this reason. Iāve tried all the listed solutions, nothing works. Iāve contacted support and got hit with āresponse will be between 3 days and 2 weeksā.
From the standpoint of a customer that pays to use this product, this isnāt acceptable.
Im having this issue. Revoking the seat and reassigning doesnāt work. Absolutely ridiculous that thereās not a working system for changing machine on a āProā service.
Having same issue -but - My problem is when I Activate the serial key in the HUB it says Invalid Serial Key and I cannot open projects BUT when I log into my unity account it says the computer is Activated. I removed ALL activations and same thing, It activates In Unity Account but the HUB still says no license. I formatted my system several times- With and without updates - No firewall, No AV , Reset Router - ETC. Works perfectly fine on my laptop and other computer. This is a NEW Computer Win10.
