[Service related] How to remove an organization ?

Hi !

This is more a “service in general” related question than Cloud Build specific.

I can remove a project but I don’t see where I can remove an organization. From my account I can just rename it, but no button to remove it… Any idea ? (That’s no big deal, but I like to keep things clean…)

Thanks !

Hi @TheSheyper - Yes, there doesn’t seem to be a way to delete an organization as of this moment. Better management for users and organizations is something we’ll be working on. Let us know if you have any other requirements or feedback - thanks!

@hypeNate Thanks for your answer, I understand that services are still under construction, so no big deal, thanks & keep up the good work

I have the same question, and no way to delete it. Like indiegandhi said, I like to keep things clean too. Looking forward to this feature being possible.

Please make this happen, There has to be way to remove an organization

What´s the status with removing organizations?
It´s been a year since last post.

Greetings

Yes, this needs addressed.

+1, still not added.
No extra info about it either.

I’m also interested in this feature…

Hello all!

Please write in a support ticket to support@untiy3d.com and we will see what we can do  be as detailed as possible.

Thanks!

+1, it’s been a while since this request was submitted. Any progress?

Nothing yet?

One way to get rid of an unused organization is to create a dummy UDN account, set this account as the billable user, then remove your main account from the org. This also means you’ve got it archived in case you ever need it back.

I hope this helps!

That’s hardly a solution… Users shouldn’t be expected to create fake accounts just to get rid of something they no longer want or need. That’s just sweeping the problem under the rug.

I’m getting very frustrated with Unity’s restrictions with regards to deletion. Not only can I not delete an organization, but I can’t delete a project or account either. For projects in particular, all we get is the ability to “Archive”, with no way to truly remove the project.

You’ve known about this issue for over a year now, and several of your customers on this thread and others have requested the functionality. What’s preventing you from making a fix? The feature seems pretty straightforward to me… this is the type of functionality people expect from the most basic of tools.

+1. Need this feature. My account keeps defaulting to a free account on an no longer used organization. This account was from several years ago when Unity 5 first came out. I have another organization with all the purchased keys under, but it defaults to the other one. So I keep getting access denied when I try to access Services in Unity (my organizations do not show up in Unity). However if I login my account on browser it works fine.

This is not an acceptable fix for the lack of functionality in your portal. Is this on the road map at all? This is the number one reason I don’t recommend Unity services to companies. I need to be able to create organizations and transfer ownership to CEO or company account… and remove myself from ownership. Organization end to end functionality is not there. I am very surprised that I check on this and it is still not fixed. Is Heatmaps really more important than a functioning system for organization ownership?
