Set Builder: Sci-Fi City In development :P

After the forum replies of our previous Set Builder Assets we took all of your ideas into consideration
to create a Sci-Fi City that had it all

What you wanted and what we done.

  • A Sci-Fi City (obviously :p).
    We had a few people ask us if we are going to create a Sci-Fi city.
    The answer is yes
  • To be able to enter any Building with multiple floors.
    All of the buildings now have full interiors with the option to remove then for non
    explorable buildings (performance Optimization ).
  • Fancy Shaders for unity free and pro.
    We have created 3 nice shaders that will be included in this package
    Insane water V2 Realistic Water/ Glass/ Ice shader
    A nice Sci-Fi Shader Self-Illumin bumped specular with cubemap reflections
    A New and improved Vegetation shader (images coming soon):wink:

As we Have Reduced all our prices of our assets to help indie developers this package will be available at only $30 on completion

Anyways, how modular is this kit going to be? Could we theoretically make, say, a 10-mile wide building, with a road tunneling through it?

The package is a modular one but more buildings and extenders. This package also uses a modular monorail with usable mono cars and will soon have a underground system so you should be able to create something nice with this package. :stuck_out_tongue:

Working monorail? Please say working monorail :stuck_out_tongue:

The mono car sections are rigged for corners/ drops/ climbs so should be easy to implement with ether waypoints or animation
I will have the mono rail working with waypoints in the demo scene before release :wink:

Over the next few days we will be texturing this package and creating more props ready for release

after that we will start creating the underground and creating building extenders allowing you to lay paths though the buildings :stuck_out_tongue: O-YER

So, what types of props are you making?

Crates/ Flags/ Building signs/ interior lights/ statues. and anything else that would look good.

Awesome. :slight_smile: I was hoping for a couple props of everyday items. So benches, chairs, office desks, computers, papers, lab equipment, etc. Just stuff that would make the world seem lived in. :slight_smile:

This looks marvelous! Sadly I don’t have anything that needs a sci-fi city, but I’ll definitely keep this in mind if I ever do… May I ask though if you’ve got any specific points of reference in the architectural design?

Well when we create our assets we usually work from photos but with
This one its hard to find a photo of a Sc-iFi lol

This was allot of trial and error as it was case of throwing out ideas and then
Testing them to see if it looked good. :slight_smile:

I think i will buy this one when it will be released for my isometric RPG/FPS Sci-fi! :smile:

Goodjob! I realy like it, still i have a question: Why is it all white? Is it because you haven’t used any texture?
(I think white is cool anyway, since i like the idea of futuristic enviroment to be simple and minimal but cool)

This pack is still untextured in the screens but we are texturing at the moment.
We are painting these assets with a lot of light colors / stainless steel and a lot of self illuminated lighting to keep the Sci-Fi
Look that will look good with baked in lighting and night scenes.

Here is the texture look we have gone for in this package these textures are using a new Sci-Fi shader we have made exclusively for this package.:smile:
