Hi,
I realized different blendshapes for my character in Maya and used the Set Driven Key to combine them and to move the eyelashes and the theet togheter with them. I then exported the fbx of the character in Unity and the file mor for the blendshapes (I use Megafiers Plugin). The blendshapes work correctly in Unity, but not what I have done with the Set Driven Key, so the eyelashes are static and the blendshapes are not combined togheter.
Doesn’t Unity recognise the Maya Set Drive Key? Do you know if there is a way to solve this problem?
I too have a model with blendshapes driven by a controller. I have attempted to use ‘Maya Extensions’ free plugin to get my blendshapes working but with no luck. From your post I’m doubtful that mega-fiers will work? Can anybody provide some information on a way to solve getting set driven key blendshapes into Unity?
Unity does not support blendshapes / driven keys yet. You need to work around with mega fiers or other plugins. I used mega fiers and it works good, but for mobile it dropped my game too much in the fps. It was just a start animation, so I got around this with a video played before level loading.
Since 4.3 unity supports blendshapes, see http://www.faceshift.com/unity/ for a tutorial of how to animate these with faceshift.
