if cos between -1 and 1, that’s like 0 to 2. But we handle 0 as a negative. Whatever’s happened the guy has gone above 1 or below -1 and that’s not a number.

Again, with all due respect, that’s just completely incorrect. Saying something is incorrect is not an attack on you, it’s simply incorrect information.
