Setting up a 360 degree orbiting camera using Cinemachine in Timeline for a cutscene.

Basically, what I want to do is something like this for a non player controlled cutscene.

My gut tells me the Orbital Transposer is useful for this, but I can’t get it to do anything other than having the orbit be player controlled, which I don’t want.

I’m relatively new to using Cinemachine so it might just be something I don’t know how to do yet.

I used a tracked dolly and use an animator to change the Path Position in a similar situation.

You can set up the Orbital Transposer not to take user input by setting the “X Axis Name” field to blank (by default it’s set to “Mouse X”). Then, you can drive the X Axis Value field from script or animate it with Timeline, rotating the camera.
