Shaded Place

Hello.
I would like to show you game called “Shaded Place”.
It will be postapocalyptic horror game.
In game you will need to answer for question “How did this happen?”.

VIDEO :

Quick question: I recognized many of the objects in the video, like the ruined buildings, how much of it is custom? Not trying to sound like a jerk, this game looks amazing!

In my opinion it’s not about recognizing things which are there. I trying to create an art, not only scary game.

Indeed, It’s just my curiosity, I suppose.

It looks neat. I saw that you said you’re not try to create only a scary game, but from the video non of it seems scary to me (so maybe your next video should convey that a bit more.) I this video I feel more like the game is about curiosity and discovery. Letting the players imagination fill in the gaps on what may have happened.

Anyways, just a though that if you want this to be scary, try other music or something. heh.

Keep it up though, it’s looking good.

@AustinK
Like you see in video, I wrote “Environment”.
I dont want to show everything in video. I need to update few things.
Anyway two more screens (game will be in first / third person) :

this game looks promising , keep it up .
Btw , holding a flashlight in the middle of the day does not make sense.

I personally think it has too much color correction/whatever it is that you have on there. Too much blue. I’d go with a more natural feel for the environment you have, as it would look much better. It just looks really strange in the images above. Other than that, nice environment and great work.

Just wanted to show you how lighting works in this game.
But anyway thats for advice.

pripyat-ukraine chernobyl, another shot it’s been almost 25 years and the wilderness has reclaim a percentage of the land, and uhm, unattended nuclear power plants are a recipe for disaster.

just trying to help with the reality check and anyhow the game look’s good.

Second trailer.

Can’t wait for it!
Best graphic I ever seen so far in Unity :slight_smile:

Some new screens :

sorry I don’t really get it. There’s a black guy with a gun, lot’s of camera spinning around assets from asset store, and epic music in background, but still no gameplay or anything concrete.

@Cheburek

Because it’s just beginning. Almost every creator not shows everything in their trailers.
I just introduced some info. Rest will be soon :slight_smile:

I understand… I just think all the music and effects at this early stage of the game look cheesy. But good luck with the project :wink:

Ridiculous comment.

This is WIP not showcase.

Looks good so far. I agree with one of the previous comments about color saturation, but still… its looking good for a wip

I actually disagree. The comment above was made towards the overall presentation of the WIP game. Having epic music, motion graphics, quick cuts etc in WIP video but no gameplay or any explanation of what the game is about seems confusing.

To the actual content though, the environments look fantastic! Love how saturated the vegetation is. I do, however, agree with the comment above about having too much color correction. That blue filter is a bit unsettling.

How would you like him to present his WIP? No background music?.. bunch of shoddy text explaining stuff? (ive seen those videos where 30 seconds of the video is some BS text about what they plan on doing… no-one cares tbh…) this is a perfect WIP video. It shows lots of little tidbits from around his environment, which gives the impression of having a decent amount already done.

Anyhoo, my ridiculous comment was more directed at his impression that having epic background music was cheesy. So if he used some other tune it would have been ok? stupid.
