Shaders and Textures issue in Viking Village

Hello,

I’ve got this problem after loading Viking Village map, it look’s basically like this:

Apart from this weird texture on the sky, shadows look really poor and in general completely different than in the demonstration video.

I’m a sound designer and I’m completely new to Unity, just starting to learn it for sound integration etc.

Also, I don’t know if it matters in my case but I’m running on Personal license, could this be a reason for poor quality map? Amongst the assets I see a couple of folders with addnotation (Pro only).

Please help!

Bart.

The (Pro Only) annotations are leftover from the 4.x lifecycle, when features were dependent on license version. Since the release of 5.0, all licenses share the same engine features, so there’s no Pro Only content you wouldn’t have access to.

The shadows are likely a product of your quality or light settings. Edit->Project Settings->Quality for the first, and Window->Lighting for the second. Tinker inside those windows, messing with values to see how it changes things, and for lighting, ensure you either Precomputed Realtime GI or Baked GI enabled, then Build/Bake your lighting.
