Shading bug

Hi, all. First time poster here.

So I have encountered a pretty serious graphical bug. It’s better to see the bug for yourself below than to have me describe it. At the moment I am using the latest release: 2017.2.0b11 on my Ubuntu 16.04 system. I thought it could have been Nvidia not getting along with Linux (it is an older Quadro NVS 160M/PCIe/SSE2) but other 3d programs (Blender, Houdini) work perfectly fine. This happens with all game objects I attempt to put in the scene. The shading/lighting also seems to work right when I load up the project before moving anything around but promptly goes back to the bug.

Thanks to all the people working so hard to bring Unity to Linux!

Is that sphere supposed to be white all over? I suspect that’s a shader compilation bug, and I’m leaning towards an Nvidia driver bug. What version of the Nvidia driver are you on? Can you post your Editor.log or file a bug via the Bug Reporter please? I just want to see if there’s anything in there about the UnityShaderCompiler crashing out or something.

The sphere had the default texture. If I switch it to diffuse the problem is resolved. I’m still posting my Editor.log and as for the driver it is NVIDIA binary 340.104 from nvidia-340. Thanks and sorry for the wait.

So I just found something. When I create a new material and apply it to the sphere the same bug happens. In the Inspector for the material if I turn off reflections the bug goes away. The preview window in the inspector however shows the correct texture whether or not reflection is checked. The small slice of white in the above picture looks like the reflection but the rest of the texture bugs out.
