I notice when i move in scene there is a shadow disappearing effect. i noticed in the urp asset settings there are the cascade count that seems to influence this behavior, and the check box “conservative enclosure” has some overall effect on this too. if you see in the video link you can see the issue if you look at the grass by the sidewalk and some of the tree shadows
150 is probably much farther than you really need. The higher this number the lower quality near shadows may be. The issue isn’t that shadows are disappearing, it’s that the resolution is too low to maintain the detail.
Your shadow resolution is very low too at 512, 2048 is probably more common for PC. But basically, you need to balance shadow resolution and shadow distance.
You may also consider the asset Umbra shadows which support contact shadows. Though note, atm speed tree doesn’t work well with it cause screenspace shadows are broken on speedtree trees.
With an outdoor scene with one directional light set to mixed. My tree shadows look best on baked indirect. When I set to shadow mask my tree shadows apear darker. What is the way to increase more detail on the tree shadows using shadow mask mode?
