Shadow trail?

Hi im new to the website but not so new to unity ive been making a game and so far ive had major succes reading trough some peoples anwsers so im sure you could give me some help, im looking fore a scrpit that would mak a trail of curling shadows that follow my enemy around to make it look like he was suporting himself in the air with shadows, i would like to know if this is possible and if you could point me on the right path and maybe teach me how to implament it in the game you help would be very much apeciated

Have you tried a trail renderer and particle system? Just make 2 textures: one that is for the shadow trail itself (If you want curls and waves in this, remember that the tip will be at the right. Do not taper the trail, though, as Unity will do this for you.), and one (or more) for the curly, wispy shadow curls, hooks, tentacles, stars, and blobs that you may want to thicken your shadow trail. Then make a trail renderer with the trail texture attached, and a particle system for the shadow bits that fly off your creature. Also, adding a black halo under your character will make the shadow look thicker and more intimidating.
