Shadowless, a twenty second RPG

In a peaceful village a demon is waiting until dark to kill everyone.

The only way to recognize it is by its lack of a shadow.
Kill it before night falls!

3d models come from Reiner’s Tilesets.
All music and coding was made by me.

Shadowless, a twenty second RPG

This is my first game; I would appreciate any critique.

Nice! Congratulations from your first game!

Always a thrill when you put that first demo together

I think you are well aware that it has… uh…length issues, so I won’t comment on that. The idea of using what is essentially an engine feature as the basis for the gameplay is pretty cool  You might want to give the player a torch or something though, because having some characters in shadow feels like a cheap way of making the game near impossible, depending on the spawn.

Also, are the residents of the town (and the character) supposed to be gnomes or something? Because otherwise, that is one big goat

thanks you guys!

yeah, length issues, heh, I know, and couldn’t do torches since only directional lights have shadows in Unity Free.
and yeah, they sorta just ended up being gnomes… not sure how :stuck_out_tongue:

I really like the concept, you should expand on this.
