Using Unity 6000.0.38f1 - when creating a fresh URP project, and creating a basic scene with fairly large camera distance to the meshes in the scene. It seems like the “max Distance” does not work when using shadow cascades in the build. is this a Unity bug or how do i fix this?

shadows visible in editor. also see shadow settings on the bottom right
no shadow visible at in build (shadows become visible when moving the camera close to the gameobjects)
additional info: when setting the cascade count to 1 the shadows are visible in the build. (i need cascades to work though, so this is no viable workaround for me)
