Shadows in lightmap is "foggy/blurry" (vRay)

Hi!

I’m trying make a nice lightmap for my “game” with vray.

Im using the VRayRawTotalLightingMap in 3ds max,
All my materials are vray materials, all the light are vray light etc…

If a do a regular render, everything looks great.
But when i render to texture/lightmap all the shadows are messed up. And sometimes light leaks between walls and roof. And I tried to make a lightmap
with higher resolution, 4096x4096, but it didn’t work either.

I attached some pictures so you can understand the problem.

So, is there a way to fix this?
Is there something wrong with my UVs?

(Sorry for my bad english, hope you understand)
Thanks for helping

If you are using the “Render To Texture” tools under 3dsmax to render your lightmap, there is an option called “Padding”.

Default value is 2 but you should set it to 30px to be fine and this should maybe resolve your issue. (mipmapping stuff in realtime ^_-)

Now about your white shadows, this is strange… I do not understand myself what it could be.

My advise is you could give a try at the following plugins for 3dsmax :

I only used it as demo and was already perfect for what I need to do.
Also veeeeery simple to understand how it work/
