Hi everyone,
I’m interested in using Unity Editor to create some indie 2D games, I’ve seen there will be 2D support in the next version of Unity. So my question is: shall I download now Unity and start now exploring the editor/mechianics eccetera or shall I just wait the 4.3?
If you can resist the urge to start with 2D development right away, you should download the current version and get yourself comfortable with the general Unity workflow by checking out some free tutorials. By the time 4.3 hits you will already have some experience with Unity.
Without knowing much about the 2D coming up here, I would have to say that just getting used to Unity and Unity concepts in general would be a pretty good idea. Even if you’re just getting used to the way the program itself works and how its concepts are applied (ie, GameObjects, etc.)
Thanks you, you convinced me, I’m starting the download Can you tell me the very first tutorial I should read and follow (I found many of them and I really do not know where to start from )
