Hello!I hope that this’ll be a bit more responsive than the polycounters, but I have an issue that’s been plaguing me.
In 3DSMAX’s particle system dynamics, there is a feature that allows for the projected planes to face outward instead
of this: [http://puu.sh/1P0L2](http://puu.sh/1P0L2)

The particles only seem to follow a certain axis.Though they’re silhouetted onto the mesh, they don’t really face outward.
I’ve substituted for “Verticle Billboard” seeing that the particle gaps aren’t visible unless viewed from the top of the screen, but
I just needed to know if there were a fix for this.

Hi,

Not sure I understand the question…

Are you trying to have the particles face out from the mesh normals or something more like a sprite that is always facing the camera?

Well,I’m more attempting to get the particles to wrap themselves around the mesh, almost like glad wrap.

Each time I look from the side view, the particles are billboarded. I’m more looking for a method to make

the gaps in-between the planes that are emitting non-existent.I remember a friend showing me a technique

that made the particle rotate with the camera so maybe that’s why I’m looking for.
