How do you work with just a single screen?!

…Is that game a remake of Skidmarks or Super Off Road (Amiga) ?

I’ve got a new couch since last year.

Edit: Last years couch can be seen here.

I’m currently moving 2 minutes away from my work netting me an extra 2 hours a day to work on games.

I’m still transitioning, but I’ll post mine soon.

Spoiler: I bought a 4’ x 8’ whiteboard for my new office! Only paid $13 for it too!

I think @zombiegorilla just won the thread…

Working at home has its privileges. Here’s a recent view of my back yard, right outside of my office window. I spend more time outside lately than in, so I figured this was more appropriate than a picture of my boring computer desk.

I also work with a single screen, fully realizing that I could be more productive with one or more extra, but not really caring enough to do anything about it.

How do you have so much freedom? Seems like Disney is way less strict then any large developer I know.

You did see the “Hands off!” sign, right?

I’ve worked with 3 screens, I’ve worked with 2, and since the new 4k monitors have come out, I just find having one nice fat ultra HD monitor in my face is the best

Its better for gaming, and while I do miss a second screen sometime, the one big monitor just works better for me.
My eyes also tend to get sore with multiple screens, I had 2 x 27"s once and that was too much.

Yep, that’s my baby, been working on it for 7 years now (on and off). Super Offroad is a massive influence on my game.

I will join you in having very fond memories of Super Off Road. I played a lot of it on the NES in the early 1990’s.

Yeah - not fair zombie! That’s the mouses work environment, he only shares it with you!
Show us your 3 legged lopsided desk in the back room of the house like everybody else!

I’d participate but I’m an artist - the surface of my desk is currently hidden under important stuff. Oh - there’s my wacom pen! Now I can bump up that sculpt on the priority list.

Awesome Boba Fett by the way and wooden skull thingy.

I’m not sharing it, the mouse pays me to sit next to the fett. In fact, this facility was built specifically for my team. When we were aquired, they built us fancy new digs. (Our old place was… not awesome)

The statues were added a couple of years ago after our first trip to LucasFilm/ILM, our EP felt our office was too spartan. (everything is compared to ILM). So we commissioned a bunch of statues and big wall art things (SHIELD/Hydra/Reb/Emp logos… etc). Here are few the cooler statues:

For my actual workstation:

For my home setup… just a laptop. I have extra monitors and a tablet, but they are mostly in the closet. I do have a headless frankenbox running linux for a file server in the other room. My MBP does all my heavy lifting.

Our culture is a creative one. Though we are in SV, we are closer in the way we operate to Pixar and the animation studios than other game studios. Though some of the big studios have a creative environment as well (Naughty Dog for example).

Nice! You can browse Unity forums on 3 screens simultaneously! No wonder you have 4,000 posts :stuck_out_tongue:

Lol, I am poor. My macbook pro laptop retina screen is broken which cost $1000 to repair. So I will need to plug in my macbook pro into a monitor screen to save some bucks. I am too poor to afford a new good desktop yet. I am just saving some bucks now.

Actually I almost exclusively browse and post from my phone. My post rate would drop significantly if I gave up smoking.
