A top down, party based RPG for the modern era. Experience a rich and stylised fantasy world come to life. Real time gameplay with a tactical pause for issuing commands. Experience an intricate, dialogue driven story like the age old classics from the golden age of gaming.
A story spanning across six major timelines and countless minor Rifts. Discover a world much like our own, as you uncover the lore of an altered history more and more divergent across time. Is there a source? A common point where something changed, or simply a picture of ‘a world that could have been,’ if myths and legends were true?
Experience character progression in a whole new way, with an equipment based skill system. Your stats determine what you can use, and what you use determines what you can do.
Open Source
I am aiming to release the entire project file FREE to the community after release. A complete, feature length game worth of assets, 100% open source.
How can I do that and maintain the quality of a for-profit-game? Through innovative use of crowdfunding:

This idea for funding an open source game could be the next big thing in Indie Gaming. I want it to be the next big thing.
Imagine having access to countless, high quality, project files to build your games from. No closely guarded development secrets, no trademarks to infringe.
Every model, texture, shader, animation, script, and sound file in the game to be used, re purposed, or rebuilt by the community any way they see fit. Just think what the modding and development community could do with this kind of resource and you can see why I want to do this.
I envision a grand future for the Indi Development scene. I still see it as very much in its infancy right now. Maybe more of a toddler, just out of the terrible twos. Only just beginning to reach a fraction of it’s potential. Quite rapidly, the quality of Indi Games has evolved from simple flashbacks to the early era of “retro games,” to games more in line with early Xbox and PS2 titles. There are more and more each year beginning to match, and even supersede, the quality of high level developers from 10 to 15 years ago. And with a handful of major developers embracing the Independent and crowdsourced funding ideas as their own future, we are on the cusp of a true revolution.
The development in the last two years alone, not just with Unity, but the advancements for ease and usability of programs like Maya and Zbrush allow for a high quality, and rapid workflow that was never possible before. What is possible by a small development team, or even single developer, hasn’t even been tapped yet.
