SHORT FILM Project - with Unity GAME aspect.

Hi Unity Developers!

Just wanted to let you know about a project i’m working on. I’m writing and directing a short film (called ‘Mr Torquay’s Holiday’) for Film London (in the uk) which will be screened at the British Film Institute and potentially at the London Film Festival this October! The film is a dark, surreal drama about a man who’s become obsessed by a mysterious online 3rd person game. All the while, in the outside world ‘real events’ are becoming more and more dramatic, but our protagonist ignores them and gets deeper and deeper into the game world!

It all leads to an epic and mind bending conclusion!

Its primarily a live action film, but throughout we see aspects of the game that our hero is playing, a game we are developing in Unity!! I’d love to invite you to have a look at our production blog and facebook page, and please offer any advice on the game creation aspect. I have a developer on board and she would love to get feedback from you guys on making the game as absorbing and exciting as i hope the rest of the film is. Once the film is released we plan to release the game level online as part of the films marketing. We are also thinking of cross / game world / real world potential within the story world of the film!!!

Film London is a very prestigious organisation and this film is being created under the London Borough Film Fund Challenge.

The blog is here
and our facebook is here

Thanks in advance for your input, your interest could make this a fantastic Unity meets Live action first!

Mr Torquay’s’ Holiday

Our game is a 3rd Person Medieval ‘Apocalyptic’ Quest type game, where the lead hero is fighting to discover hidden secrets of a doomed land. Our hero designs are yet to be completed and the ‘bad guys’ are also not designed so any input would be most appreciated. Any body who is keen to be involved would be invited to the screenings in London, wrap party and of course would get IMDB credited etc. More advanced input could also mean a financial rewards.

Thanks again
