Shortcuts place random characters

Using random shortcuts place random characters on text fields or edits.
Example shortcuts:

  • Ctrl + Shift + A
  • Ctrl + Shift + S
  • Ctrl + Shift + Z
  • Ctrl + Shift + X
  • Ctrl + Shift + V
  • Ctrl + Shift + B
  • Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Ctrl + A
  • Ctrl + S
  • Ctrl + Z
  • Ctrl + B

I think it’s it’s heavily influenced by Ctrl shortcuts…
Pressing shortcuts defined by Unity doesn’t seem to make them.
I’m using Ubuntu 18.04 and you can see the extra character with TextMeshPro.

Would you mind opening a bug report?

Found similar Issue. Unity Issue Tracker - [Linux editor] Symbol characters not shown/entered in Text fields
It doesn’t seem to be fixed in 2019.1.0b2 or in 2019.2.0b4

Edit:
Reported the bug, cant see it in issue list yet, if it will appear there.
Anyone else get this issue? I started to wonder if local market sold keyboards with additional functionality (~10€ Trust keyboard, made in china)

Edit 2: Some hidden characters here “”, no, they wont show themselves so willingly.
Edit 3: Ok, might just be unclean keyboard? Keyboard inputs multiple characters when I press one key - Windows Vista
Edit4: Or keyboard is breaking. Ctrl is in scratches, didn’t know I used my nails that much. Anyway, missing characters.

Added more on comment, the characters were also added on editable fields like GameObject names, filenames, foldernames and string fields.
It didn’t seem to affect in playmode to inputfield or textmeshpro inputfield.
