Hi all,
I am planning to use lots of videos in my game.
and heard that ogv is the unities main /only video type (eventhough it converts other formats to it)
However I want lossless but good compressed ogv files. Should I buy 1 month online ogv converter services for it?
Ideal video format is platform dependent.
Mobile platforms I meant Android and IOS
For mobile platforms you want to use either H.264/265 or VP8. OGV is primarily a desktop format.

btw I like Xvid coding its great for quality and compression
Yes it is good.
Xvid (formerly “XviD”) uses ASP features such as b-frames, global and quarter pixel motion compensation. Hence it will be great decision.
Also It uses lumi masking, trellis quantization, and H.263, MPEG and custom quantization matrices.
Also for great videos experience audio plays an important role in it. So it is necessary for every video developer to focus on audios too. to record great audio, microphone of high quality is essential. Hence test your microphone quality before recording at mictest.me. It is free and easy to use tool to carry a mic test. You do not need to download third party application to carry on testing process.
thanks a lot.
But the thing is even great compression I used the compressed video on a kinda scaled up plane and now I can see little squares on it. (considering the 10x size decrease it is acceptable but still my perfectionist side suffering little bit)
