Should i save data in a file and load it for objects?

Looking into it I have been wondering if its worth to save alot of my building data, Towers and structures information, in a table or file and have it load into an array with all the information when needed or should i just stick to scripts attached to each game object that houses the data?

Wondering if anyone has input on which approach is more efficient?

What “table”?

External files only make sense if you need some way to alter the game data without having to rebuild the project.
