I just wanted to give a shout out to all level designers everywhere, your work is greatly underappreciated.
I am working on a second game and I now both dread and loathe level design. Perhaps it is just my own OCD on the prefabs lining up perfectly so you get these perfect rooms, corridors, etc.; but I have gone through multiple iterations on each level I worked on previously. Doing a space ship interior right now and my mind is already mush before I put down the first wall.
I have seen other levels done by those who seem to thrive in this area of game development, but boy it drives me batty. I do not know how you do it with out tearing out your own hair by the roots.
