Show gizmo icon on selected gameobject

I have drawn and set icons for some of my gameobjects that only have logic scripts in them (no renderers), so it’s easy to locate them in the scene. However, when I click and select these gameobjects in the scene, the icon is no longer drawn until I deselect the gameobject. This seems to be the default behaviour, and I guess it’s because it should not clutter the scene. In my case it just gets confusing though. Is there something I can add to the OnDrawGizomsSelected() function or some flag or something, so the icon is drawn even when the gameobject is selected?

Btw, tried a google search but most answers I find relate to other “almost similar” issues.

Use OnDrawGizmos instead of OnDrawGizmosSelected

EDIT: Sorry, you I misread the question. You are probably doing something wrong as name says OnDrawGizomsSelected should be drawn when selected

Clarification: Well, anything I explicitly code in my OnDrawGizmosSelected() is drawn, like any debug lines and things like that. What I’m not seeing is the icon I have set in the Gizmos menu in the editor. That icon seems to be drawn automatically if I have an OnDrawGizmos() function in my class, but it’s never drawn if the gameobject is selected.
